The author Karen Restaino started her writing career as a playwright. Her debut stage play, a Victorian period drama titled "A Guinea Too Much," was successfully performed at the Mansfield Palace Theatre in 2003. Additionally, her TV drama "Age Concerned" was shortlisted for Channel 4’s The Plays The Thing in 2006. After raising four children, Karen returned to education and earned a BA in Theatre Studies at Rose Bruford College in Sidcup, South London and then obtained a PGCE in her hometown of Sheffield at Hallam University.
Karen is currently about to release her 2nd novel, 'Weight In Gold,' 2025 as well as launch, Wendy's World: The Musical .
Her first novel, "The Ringmaster," is out now.
Additional Info: Karen was instrumental is casting the Italian quarter in the first series of the TV hit, 'Peaky Blinders'
